Just a "zebra" trying my best to live life to the fullest with EDS and POTS...and loving the ride.

200!

Written by Katie. Posted in Giveaways

It’s hard to believe that this is my 200th post!  Just like my 100th post, I wanted to do something special to mark this milestone, as well as find a way to say thank you to everyone who reads.

So, this is what I came up with.

I am in love with the “Life is Good” brand.  I love the stores, the Facebook page, the website, the music they endorse, and most of all, their belief about the POWER of optimism.  On my bad days, I go to the “Life is Good” Facebook page and just soak up the inspiration and positivity that is splattered all over the page.

It has also become a tradition that before each one of my prolotherapy treatments, Brad and I stop at the “Life is Good” store in Mishawaka.  Sometimes I buy something and sometimes I don’t.  Being in the store is just a refreshing reminder that before I get hundreds of injections, (or that no matter what is happening in my life), “Life is Good.”

This is why I have decided to do a “Life is Good” themed giveaway.  Each thing I giveaway will be gender neutral, and will be “Life is Good” specific.  I have also decided to keep the items a surprise.  I just think it is more fun that way.

So here’s all you have to do to enter:

Leave a comment telling me your first name, your link to your blog if you have one, and one reason why you think “Life is Good.”  Or just leave me a positive comment about anything.  (If you can’t tell, I’m seeking out positivity, people. 🙂
Leave your comment by Friday, September 9th and on Saturday, the 10th I’ll pick a random winner to mail (for free) the “Life is Good” giveaway.  Please be sure I have your email address to get your mailing info in case you win.

Even if I don’t know you, I would love for you to leave a comment.

Thanks for reading 200 times over!

Katie, You are amazing! I get sooooo much pleasure reading your blog. You are one of the most uplifting people that I have ever known and I feel blessed to be your friend. You put so much of life into perspective for me and I am sure alot of people. Just reading your positive thoughts ( and I KNOW it is NOT all sunshine to be in your skin) helps me. You are special. And you make me feel special to know you:)

“Sometimes life seems like a dream, especially when I look down and see that I forgot to put on my pants” – Jack Handy

Life is Good because I have wonderful family and friends who love and support me with or without pants. But mostly with.

Life is good. No matter how many times there’s a hill in the meadow to climb up to see what is on the other side,…. there’s always something on the other side to explore. And each of us can take that adventure head on with head high to challenge ourself to lift our spirit to new vibration levels and find the ultimate lesson that is there for us to learn. How we react to challenges in our life will determine where we go with the next hill that we climb. Remember to lift your eyes and take in the scenery around you as you climb those hills. If one is looking down, one will miss so much going on around them. You are blessed sweet Katie. Hugs to you.

Life is Good… because even when we get down, we have pets, children, flowers, the smell of fresh cut grass, good news, ice cream, playgrounds, balloons, good movies, best friends, hugs, smiles… I could go on and on… but especially because I have awesome friends and amazing family that I love and that love me. Life isn’t just good, it is great!

Life is Good, indeed. As a father, and a son, and just a person who breathes air and takes up space, I love to see people who take the optimistic view on life. And people who “try to make a difference” in the lives of others are my favorite people of all.

I know just enough about your family to know that Optimism, Determination, Strength, and “Im not going to let this effer beat me down” just sort of comes natural. But just because it comes natural, that doesnt make it easy.

I have a 78 year old father who is kicking cancers ass.
I have an 18 year old daughter who has never been on a school team, in any sport, who is kicking butt and taking names and about to be a division 1 rower.
I have adopted a son who’s biologicals are two of the most screwed up humans walking the planet, yet he is kind, gentle, smart, throws left, bats left, and at 3 years old is a local legend on the tball and soccer fields
I have a wife who loves me, and I dont know why
and I have another daughter who is just like her mom, and someday that will be the death of me.

All of that, and more, means that life is very good.

Thank you for making a difference. Thank you for your strength and your optimism. You are an inspiration.

Life is good… because everything really does work out the way it is supposed to when it is supposed to. Whether it be relationships, jobs, goals, anything. I have had several jobs over the past year or so and am finally with a company that I can see a future with and love going to work again. It may look weird on my resume, but I believe people understand that I was looking for that fit and respect me for looking for “the one” as if it was the right boy to spend the rest of my life with.

    Life really is good 🙂

To quote the great Kenny Chesney and Dave Matthews, “breathing in and out’s a blessing, can’t you see?”

Life is Good because I’m alive and well. Love heals.

My life is good becasue I have learned about strength and dedication from my wife who knocks down walls that are in her way on order to accomplish her goals. My life is good because of friends and family. My life is good because of music. My life is good because of sports. My life is good because I am privileged to teach. My life is good because of love and laughter. My life is good because I choose it to be. Keep on pushing and inspiring us all Katie. NWIK

Life is good because we choose to see it as good. Shakespeare wrote, “There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.” As long as we continue to count our blessings and see more positives than negatives, life will be good.

(I entered late on purpose. Don’t enter me in the contest since I won the last one.)
