It’s hard to see a loved one hurt.
It’s hard to watch one of your husband’s best friends be laid to rest at the age of 35.
It’s hard to understand why.
But, maybe that is not for us to understand.
It was a beautiful ceremony. A celebration of life.
I think the pastor hit the nail on the head when he said, “It’s not the longevity of a life that matters, but the depth.”
This man lived a life that was deep. One that was all about honoring and loving and cherishing the relationships that were important to him.
This man left behind a legacy of selflessness and honor that will carry on forever.
As I sat there and wept, the thought that tomorrow is not promised kept running through my head.
Life really is too short.
Life is a gift.
It is so important to make our wrongs, right and to tell the people who mean the most to us that we love them.
Because we just never know.
I’m hugging my loved ones a little tighter tonight.
RIP, E.R.S. Thank you for being so amazing to my Brad.
