Perfection

Written by Katie. Posted in Editorials

FYI-I did NOT write the following piece.  I know what you are thinking, she just started this blog and is already ripping off other people’s writing 🙂 A friend of mine had posted this on her Facebook a while back and it really struck a chord with me. I read through it a couple of times and so much about it rang so true.  And as I debated whether or not to start this whole blogging thing, I kept thinking about this piece.  It played into a lot of my decision in going ahead with blogging, believing that it is not weak to be REAL. So thank you Dan Pearce for helping to open MY eyes about the disease called Perfection.

Gratitude Attitude

Written by Katie. Posted in Thankful

Since November is the month of giving thanks, and since some days are harder than others to find my gratitude attitude, I will consciously make an effort to post something for each day of November that I am most thankful for in my life.  Since it is already November 9th, I will make a list of 9 things I am thankful for to catch up.

Here I Am

OK, I am officially a blogger.  I’m a little scared. A little nervous.  A little excited.  But as life gets crazier and crazier these days I wanted to make sure I was documenting all of the ins and outs of the good, the bad, and the ugly as our life continues to take twists and turns. I’ve been asked a few times by various friends and family to start a blog to keep people posted on the happenings of our lives; especially now that life as we know it is currently being redefined. So…I feel like starting a blog may serve as an easy way to keep close friends and family in the loop, especially since things seem to change daily.
