Happy New Year, friends!

1. Medical Stuff:

  • One session of PT. We skipped all exercise and went for only OMT. My PT made sure my joints were as “in” as he could get them.
  • Had my 38 weeks (and 3 day) check this morning. Stress test, ultrasound, and doc visit. Everything checked out great. To say I am starting to get anxious is the understatement of 2019. When are you coming, Baby J?! One sign of progress: the head was lower today than last week.

2. My Mama is my hero. She is currently battling breast cancer. She had round two (of four rounds) of chemo on New Year’s Day. Us kids made a party out of it to keep her company. Watching someone go through chemo first hand is much harder (and uglier) than I expected. The good news is she is halfway there.

Get your mammograms, friends. And if you can, get them done in 3D. My Mom was religious with mammograms. The only thing that caught her cancer was the 3D one!

3. Dama Family Christmas:

Because of cancer, our Dama family Christmas was a bit different this year, but just as beautiful. It definitely made the people who were around the tree this year, a much bigger priority than what was around it. We had a lot of tears, a lot of laughs, a lot of food, meaningful gifts, and a whole lot of love. Christmas 2018 was one for the memory books.

4. NYE:

We have always gone to our friend’s house on New Year’s Eve. This year was not any different. We rang in the New Year with great friends…what was different was the timing. We have always rolled in to our house around 1 or 2 am. This year, I was laying on our couch by 9:30. We got to see friends AND get a good night’s sleep. Perfection.

5. Solid Advice ; )
