Whew!

What. A. Week.  Conferences, meetings, and sickness!  But I made it through!

1.  Medical Stuff:

  • 1 day of PT.  Focus: Graston’s Treatment on my hip.
  • 2 days of Home Rehab.
  • This heat has been an adjustment for me this week.  My blood has decided that it would rather hang out in my feet than in my brain.  I’m working on this.

  • I finally got a medical ID bracelet.  I ordered it 3 days ago and it came today.  I went with the simplest, cheapest bracelet I could find.  It is like a Livestrong bracelet with a stainless steel plate.  The plate fits five lines of text.  I paid $15 total including shipping.

Sorry, guys. You can't have my husband's digits 🙂

30

My 29th birthday was much different than my 30th.  Not necessarily better; just very, very different.  It is amazing to me what a difference a year makes.  I guess the way you could compare the difference between the two birthdays is that, 29 was different than anything I have ever experienced, while 30 was back to being “normalish.”

  • I had my monthly appointment with Larry to assess how I am doing, and for gentle manipulation work on my ribs, neck, and jaw.  When I told him about my physical therapy dilemma, he basically responded in an, as diplomatic way as he could, with “over my dead body,” and “your doctor is the one who decides that.”  So, his plan for me is to take a physical therapy break over Christmas break to see how I do,when I am not teaching.  His bottom line was, “We are not messing with school and PT right now.”
