Five For Friday +1 3/24/12

What. A. Week.  Conferences, meetings, and sickness!  But I made it through!

1.  Medical Stuff:

  • 1 day of PT.  Focus: Graston’s Treatment on my hip.
  • 2 days of Home Rehab.
  • This heat has been an adjustment for me this week.  My blood has decided that it would rather hang out in my feet than in my brain.  I’m working on this.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, everyone!

1.  Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of Home Rehab.
  • I had an OMM appointment.  We focused mainly on my neck; especially an OA release.
  • 2 Days of PT~one session focused on strengthening and one session focused on Graston’s treatment.  This is a new treatment I am trying for my hip that uses six stainless steel tools of different shapes and sizes, which helps my PT break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions.

Whoa! March already? How did that happen?!

1.  Medical Stuff:

  • 2 Days of Home Rehab.
  • 1 day of PT.  We worked a lot on my hip.
  • While my hip is experiencing this flare, I am looking for a recumbent bike, since it would provide me with the ability to do the cardio I need to fight POTS, without putting much stress on my hip.  Anyone know of one they would recommend?  Or better yet, anyone looking to get rid of one?

Our 2011 Rehash

Just for fun.  And I even got Brad to play along again.

Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

Brad-I exercised more through the spring and summer and then fell off the wagon once school started.  So, my 2012 resolution is to exercise consistently, even when life gets busy.

Katie- I like to make goals to work towards instead of resolutions.  I accomplished over half of the goals I set in 2011.  I will be making 50 more goals for 2012.  Some will carry over from 2011.
