Five For Friday 3/3/17

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 day of PT. My feet keep going numb on the elliptical (sigh) so I am switching my cardio to a combination of biking and the treadmill. So far it’s much better.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab. Trying to incorporate more core. I need to get back on the Pilates reformer!
  • 6 month dental cleaning. 35 and still no cavities!
  • Good nap week. YESSSSS.

Five For Friday 9/30/16

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. Cardio. Since my left trap was super sore, we skipped strengthening and I did stim and heat on that area before my PT worked on me.
  • 1 Day of Home Rehab. The usual.
  • I had two different OMM appointments; one on Tuesday, and one on Friday. Both docs did cranial, and worked on my TMJ and neck pain. On Friday, I got two trigger point injections which has helped quite a bit so far to interrupt the flare. Knock on wood!

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. Cardio circuit and some work with light weights on the machines. Gentle manipulation of my neck and jaw.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab.
  • I saw my OMM doc on Thursday. My neck and upper back on my left side are currently struggling. She did her best to try and calm them down. I have been using my heating pad the last few days like a BOSS. I think it is time to get back to Mishawaka for more prolotherapy.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. Circuit training and more circuit training. For the record, one minute of running in place with a thera-band around my ankles feels like 30. Ooof.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab. Treadmill, floor, and core strengthening.
  • I saw Larry on Monday for cranial-sacral therapy, acupuncture, and cervical OMM.

Well, I am another year older!

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 3 Days of Home Rehab. Treadmill and recumbent bike, with some light weights and strengthening exercises thrown in!
  • My PT was out of town this week…
  • No doctors either. Pretty quiet week. I like those : )
  • I scheduled my next Dr. Grubb appointment. I was supposed to see him in November, but I could not get in until mid-January. Actually, that’s not bad for him.
  • My body has decided this week it does not need naps. I disagree. A lot.
