Five For Friday 10/27/17

Short and sweet…

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. Trying to come out of my neck flare. Extra stim, heat, and OMM. My jaw is still an unhappy camper. Sigh.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab. Less intense. No upper body weights. Trying to calm things down.
  • Infusion on Wednesday. It always amazes me how my body sucks up the fluids like it’s starving for them. And my nurse is always amazed that I never have to pee. I guess that’s why I need them.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT! So much cardio…and a lot of scap training and strengthening.
  • I had an OMM appointment on Thursday. Stupid ribs and OA joint (neck). It was very needed.
  • I have officially made it through four weeks of school. I have to say that this week is the best I have felt since school started. Here’s hoping it continues to get easier.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. We increased my arm strengthening, along with cardio. Let me just say 2 minutes walking backwards on a treadmill feels WAY longer than two minutes walking forward.
  • 1 Day of Home Rehab.
  • 1 Hour with my shrink. Cathartic.
  • I had an appointment with my OMM doc on Friday. She took pity on me and also called me in an antibiotic since I was a gross, feverish, coughing, snotty mess.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. Neck flare, but electrical stim and heat took the edge off.
  • 1 Day of Home Rehab. Treadmill & strengthening exercises.
  • I saw Larry on Tuesday. I had stomach acupuncture while he did gentle manipulations on my first rib up to my C1. He put in the leave in acupuncture needles in my belly. Last time, they lasted exactly one week. We will see this time…
  • I saw Dr. Rosen after my Larry appointment. It seriously is the best combination of doctor appointments…I work on my body, and then go work on my mind. Ahhhhh. I am so grateful for both of them in my life. Cannot say it enough.
