Five For Friday 5/13/16

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. More core stability exercises, and a lot of OMM on my gut to try and help with my lingering gastroparesis flare.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab. Treadmill and strengthening.
  • I resorted to eating smoothies, soup, yogurt, and more liquid-y fun foods this week since my gastroparesis decided to act up and stick around. I miss FOOD!
  • I saw Larry on Thursday. I had my first cupping experience and I’m not sure about it yet…It felt strange…I’d like to try it again on my back. We did it on my stomach while I had acupuncture needles in my legs…Larry worked on me afterwards and tried to get my thoracic area all put back together. My ribs and stomach are angry right now, but luckily he was able to give me a bit of relief.

  • 2 Days of Home Rehab.
  • I saw my shrink on Tuesday. Mental health…just as important as physical health!
  • I saw one of my OMM docs on Thursday. My left side was way out of whack. Thankful for gentle manipulative medicine to get me back in place.
  • I’ve been struggling with a Gastroparesis flare this week. Hoping it will pass much sooner than later.

Christmas! Merry, Merry to all who celebrate!

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. My diaphragm keeps getting stuck and doing weird things. After my cardio and lat pull downs, my PT worked a lot on my tummy.
  • 1 Day of Home Rehab. Two miles on the treadmill and two miles on the bike. Leg and core strengthening.
  • Not a great week for sleep or gastroparesis. Blah.
  • No doctors.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 3 Days of Home Rehab.
  • I take Domperidone for Gastroparesis. I called this week to fill my prescription at the compound pharmacy I use, and was told the US can no longer make it. SO weird. So, after many calls to U of M and the Canadian Pharmacy, it is now coming from England, then to Canada, and then to me. I should have it by the end of August. In the meantime, if I look pregnant, I am not. Just for the record.
