1. Medical Stuff:

  • One day of PT. Feeling stronger each session. I wish the scale would reflect that…trying to give myself patience and grace that my body grew a human and it will take time to get back to my “old” body, but some days it’s super hard.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • PT on Thursday. So happy my OB said I can do electrical stim again. It helps calm down my first ribs that will not cooperate right now.
  • I saw my shrink on Tuesday. I made him prove that we met for an hour. It felt like 2 minutes.
  • Allie moved home last weekend and started her new job with long hours, so I’ve been walking Gru Gru each day. If only I had been doing this from the beginning of my pregnancy…it forces me to get my body moving.

Five For Friday 9/28/18

1. Medical Stuff:

  • Busy week of appointments! I saw my shrink on Tuesday. It was a long, overdue appointment. I must get back to making mental health a priority.
  • I took Wednesday off from school for my 24 week ultrasound and OB appointment. Baby J was moving and waving. I am definitely feeling baby more which is ahhhmazing. Cervix looked good, baby looked good, heart rate and measurements were good…keep doing your thing, baby.
  • Got my head stitches out on Wednesday.
  • Got my flu shot.
  • Acupuncture appointment. She puts the needles in my legs and head. As usual, I passed out and had to be woken up.
  • Struggling with more headaches, neck pain, and jaw pain. I think things may be getting looser as I grow bigger with baby. Watching this closely so I can be proactive.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Infusion.
  • 1 acupuncture session. Slept so hard my doc had to shake me.
  • LOTS of great, LONG naps. Like long as in accidentally slept through dinner twice.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab. No PT.
  • Now, that it’s summer, it is time to kick my exercise into a much higher gear. I’ve been pretty lazy lately and I feel it.

Five For Friday 2/23/18

1. Medical Stuff:

  • One day of PT. It felt good to be back, and for my therapist to get everything back in place for me again.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab. Lots of walking/running outside when it was not raining this week. So. Much. Rain. I had to get creative!
  • I am going to include this one here, because for me, it is important for my …mind…body…health. I have felt overwhelmed with a lot of things going on the last couple of months, so on my way home from school, I ended up turning around and driving to church to sit. And think. And talk to the Boss. Such a great way (for me) to feel some peace and feel centered.  I am talking spiritual health, which actually has nothing to do with religion for me.
