Five For Friday 5/17/13

1.  Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT in their new facility.  It’s beautiful.  I never thought I would say this, but I hope they move the torture chamber Reformer in soon.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab.
  • I had my monthly doctor appointment with Larry.  He did the usual OMM on me.  I may be crazy but I always notice a relationship between less POTS symptoms after gentle cranial work.  Love it.

Prolotherapy, round #Ihavelostcount.

Thursday marked nine weeks since I had my last prolotherapy injections.  That is the longest I have gone since I started, and I think it was a couple of weeks too long.  The two weeks leading up to my appointment, I was dealing with some major neck and shoulder pain…to the point that I was sleeping with my trusty rice heating pads again.  Needless to say, I was ready to get in the car and make our way to Dr. Cantieri’s office.

What a difference a week makes.

Last Saturday at this time, I was in a cocktail dress, with my hair and makeup done, surrounded by so much love and support, hosting Life as a Zebra Foundation’s second annual benefit concert with my sister.

This Saturday, I have just woken up, I am sitting with heating pads on my back and neck, and I am in my sweats, blogging and watching Knocked Up.

I am not complaining.  Both are spectacular feelings.

1.  Medical Stuff:

  • No PT.  I was on my own all week.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab.
  • I saw Larry in the office for lots of OMM.  My body got a much needed tune-up!
  • This week was much more manageable in terms of what I needed to get done, and I realized a lot of that was due to a couple of factors:

March!

1.  Medical Stuff:

  • 3 Days of Home Rehab.  Treadmill, light weights, exercises, glute fires, balance work, light stretching…the usual.
  • I had an OMM appointment.  We worked on my hip, ribs, and my doctor did some cranial-sacral work (one of my loves).
  • I had another prolotherapy treatment on Friday.  More to come on that.
