Five For Friday 6/21/19

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. Because of all of my sciatic pain, I will now be going twice a week. Fun, fun…as long as it helps.
  • 3 Home Rehab workouts. I got mad at my body so I pushed it hard. Makes sense, huh? Sometimes, I’m not the smartest but I wanted to show myself I could still work out hard. The struggle is real.
  • 1 Shrink appointment.
  • I made a prolo appointment. Time can go a little faster. I’m so ready.

Five For Friday 5/17/19 & 5/24/19

1. Medical Stuff:

  • Two PT sessions. I feel like I am finally getting stronger and my lower back in general is feeling better. Just need to tackle my left sciatica and SI joint and I’ll be like brand new ; )
  • Two Home Rehabs. Light walking and strengthening. Lots of foam rolling.
  • Two Shrink appointments. I am back to weekly for the time being. It’s a good thing.
  • I had my first infusion since pre-pregnancy days. My POTS came back with a vengeance a couple of weeks ago which has forced me to put my health in the forefront.
  • One primary care appointment.

Five For Friday 4/19/19 & 4/26/19

  1. Medical Stuff:
  • Two sessions of PT. Still trying to get my lower back stronger and the pain under control. Labor did a number.
  • Lots of walking in the neighborhood with my home-dawggggg, Gru Gru. I keep trying to add more strengthening and stretching at home but I have not been super successful. It’s a new week!

Yes, two in one again…this is Motherhood. This may be the reality for a while…because when I’m not loving on sweet Lucia, I’m running around the house taking care of other things…and when I get a moment, I just want to sleep…blogging is just not at the top of the list right now.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • I made time to see my shrink. Non-negotiable. If I don’t work on keeping my cup full, I will not be able to be the mother I want to be.
  • Still working on the shock of crazy sleep deprivation on my system. Thank God for an amazing husband, and family who lets me nap once in a while.
  • Working on incorporating therapy right now. It’s really, really hard. Like I said, when there is me time right now, I just want to rest.

Five For Friday 11/23/18

1. Medical Stuff:

  • I had my 32 week OB check on Tuesday. This appointment was about all of the things we need to think about…and have not yet. Things like having a pediatrician in place. Guess what is on my to do list for this week??? Heartbeat and measurements were good and I only gained 1 pound in a month. Bonus. I begin the baby non-stress tests in a few weeks…
  • I’ve done really well this pregnancy, but I can honestly say in the last week, I have crossed over to the uncomfortable zone. Eye on the prize.
  • Short week. No PT appointments. Walks outside and a sad amount of strengthening. I don’t care how giant you feel, step it up, Katie…; )
