Five For Friday 2/14/14

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 2 Days of Home Rehab.
  • I was supposed to have PT on Tuesday but when I showed up, I was told to go home due to having a fever and a sinus infection.
  • I saw Larry on Tuesday before my scheduled therapy appointment. I had been feeling yucky so when the nurse told me I had a fever, I was not surprised. In addition to having the usual cranial and back OMM, Larry also wrote me a prescription to take care of my sinus infection. I am happy to say I am feeling much, MUCH better now.

Dear Family, Friends, Supporters, and Fellow Zebras,

Finally!

After months, and days, and hours, and hours…and more hours of planning, we are finally ready to launch ticket sales for our 3rd Annual, “An Evening with Chris Trapper and Tony Lucca to Benefit Invisible Illness Awareness and Research.”

There have been many meetings so far.  So many triumphs.  So many acts of kindness and generosity.  So many emails.  And yes, even a few frustrations and tears along the way.  I have learned that just goes with the territory.

Two years ago, the dream was born for Allie and me.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • All PT was on my own this week.
  • 3 Days of Home Rehab. I hate side planks. Just putting that out there.
  • I had my annual pulmonary function testing done this week. My test results showed all was clear.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • Snowmageddon and the Polar Vortex cancelled PT.
  • I got in 3 days of Home Rehab.
  • I had prolotherapy Friday morning. (Post to come).
  • I saw the gyno Friday afternoon and scared the nurses because my heart rate was over 200 sitting. I am wondering if it was a response to being in pain from the prolo? Right now, I still have quite a bit of pain, but my heart rate is 70. Having POTS is so strange. You never know what your body is going to do. SIDENOTE: Remind me not to schedule other appointments on prolo days. Not sure what I was thinking on that one…
