I feel like I’m playing hooky this morning as I sit under my blanket in my PJ’s, drinking coffee, watching the Today Show, and blogging. The kids have a half-day today with teacher training in the afternoon. My principal asked that I attend the training this afternoon so my team teacher switched with me…she has morning “kid” duty and I have afternoon “meeting” duty. I’ll let you in on a secret: I’d rather be with the kids…but it is what it is…it’s just one day.
Tomorrow it is back to Mishawaka to see my buddy ol’ pal, Dr. Cantieri for more prolotherapy. I am hoping to do the regular prolotherapy vs. the neural. The neural is more for pain relief, while the tendon/ligament kind is more for stability. I am realizing more and more that I can handle the pain more than I can handle the instability, (which obviously produces pain) so stay tuned…
This week, Brad and I have been going back and forth about what to do about a car since my lease is up in a few weeks. Thankfully, my Uncle Steve (who is also our financial adviser) has been consulting with Fox Ford for us again and again…and again, and then sending us our options. I just have a question: How do people buy new cars these days, and moreover, how do people pay for two of them? Working half-time, paying for my medical expenses, and planning for a family has us thinking frugal. The good news is that I think we are finally closing in on a vehicle that is budget friendly for us. I am hoping that by the end of the day we will have made a decision.
I love fall. But I am not ready for it on September 20th. One more month of 70’s and sunshine…PLEASE.
I tweezed my first
gray **silver** eyebrow hair yesterday. It was kinda traumatic. I just kept thinking that it could have at least waited one more month until I turn 31 to show itself.
In the classroom this week, while we were working with the geometric solids:
- Me: “(Insert name), Now go stand next to something in the room that is shaped like a sphere.
- Child: Just stares at me.
- Me: Okay, go ahead and walk around and see if you can find something that is a sphere. (I’m thinking the globes).
- Child: “But I already did, Ms. Katie. I’m standing next to your big sphere head.”
A good sign that I am adjusting back to the grind. After taking a two-hour nap after school yesterday, I had enough energy to do a load of laundry AND bake muffins. Positive steps forward.
Enough randomness for now. Have a fantastic Thursday everyone!
