1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. LOTS of light walking on the treadmill. LOTS of scap and core strengthening.
  • Brad and I are killing it! We walked a mile and a half every night this week.
  • 1 Day of Home Rehab.
  • 1 Infusion.
  • 1 Acupuncture appointment.
  • SO Busy. SO tired this week.

2. It was a ZEBRA week for sure!

Senate & House:

So grateful to announce that for the fifth year in a row, both the Senate and the House unanimously adopted resolutions declaring May 20-26, 2018, Invisible Illness Awareness Week in the State of Michigan! Thank you Senator Curtis Hertel Jr. and Representative Tom Cochran for working with our foundation and for your leadership and support on this! Awareness and education are key to bringing visibility to invisible illnesses! #invisibleillnessawarenessweek2018 #senatorhertel #repcochran #grateful #zebranation #lifeasazebrafoundation

4. Zebra Day 2018!
The 7th annual Zebra Day is in the books! Of all the awareness efforts Life as a Zebra takes on, this one of my very favorites. Yesterday, we talked to K-3 students about the 6 main life lessons that living with invisible illness has taught us: kindness, respect, perseverance, making good choices, not judging a book by its cover, and standing up for yourself and others. Nothing warms my soul more than kids yelling “KIND IS COOL” at the top of their little lungs!
