Five For Friday 6/7/19 & 6/14/19

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 2 Days of PT. I added an SI belt to my repertoire of braces. We had a good laugh over the fact that I am doing a 5k and I may just show up in my back brace, SI belt, and neck collar. You gotta laugh, peeps.
  • One shrink appointment.
  • Sciatic pain is no joke. Working on it, but I have a feeling I also need prolotherapy in that area. To Indiana, I go…ASAP.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. Lots of OMM on the good ol’ neck and jaw. Light strengthening. Stim.
  • Walked in the neighborhood 5 out of seven days.
  • Infusion on Thursday. Probably the fastest one I ever had.
  • Acupuncture on Wednesday. First time I did not fall asleep.
  • More blood work. How do I have any left?!

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. As hard it was, I admitted to my PT I needed to take it easy. I could tell it was one of those days that if I pushed, I would be in trouble. So we did more OMM, more heat, and more stim.
  • Every night this week, Brad and I walked a mile and a half. It was our goal at the beginning of the week and we did it. Spring weather just makes life so much easier.
  • Blood draw. All good.
  • Home Infusion. Ceiling fan…hanger…bag of meds…All good.
  • Saw my shrink on Thursday. This is a year I have felt pretty broken. He is the most amazing man in helping me figure out the pieces, and understand which ones I want to pick up and put back together.

Christmas Edition!

1. Medical Stuff:

  • I sucked up the working out thing SO bad this week. My body feels it too. Way too many Christmas carbs and not enough Christmas cardio. On my way to the treadmill today. It’s not gonna be pretty. Pray. Just pray…
  • No doctors. No PT. Just eating and lazing my way through Christmas.

  • 2 Days of Home Rehab. Interval training again.
  • No docs.
  • I got my echo results back and everything looks good. This is one time that I love the word, “normal.” I am set for another two years…woohoo!
