Five For Friday 1/4/19

Happy New Year, friends!

1. Medical Stuff:

  • One session of PT. We skipped all exercise and went for only OMT. My PT made sure my joints were as “in” as he could get them.
  • Had my 38 weeks (and 3 day) check this morning. Stress test, ultrasound, and doc visit. Everything checked out great. To say I am starting to get anxious is the understatement of 2019. When are you coming, Baby J?! One sign of progress: the head was lower today than last week.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • PT! Lots of rib manipulation work. At this point, we are trying to get me to labor with my ribs as “in” as they can be. My left side just happens to be the stubborn side…
  • I had my first baby stress test on Wednesday, along with an ultrasound to check my fluid, and an OB visit at the end. Everything was good! During the baby stress test, the nurse called our kid a “loud, wild child.” At my ultrasound after, the tech said your kid is “very, VERY active” (with wide eyes). That night, my big sister, Kristen, reminded me all about the laws of Karma…
  • 4 neighborhood walks. Still truckin along slowly with my sister’s pitbull in my ‘hood ; )

1. Medical Stuff:

  • Sucked at rehab this week. Packing up my classroom zapped me. Must do better!
  • 6 month dental cleaning. No cavities!
  • Acupuncture and infusion. The usual.
  • I established with a new rheumatologist on Wednesday. My PCP is leaving and I need someone to act as a “gatekeeper” for my EDS. Went really well!

JUNE babyyyyyyy! One more week of school, a few days of packing up the classroom, and then summer VACAY!

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. Lots of walking…lots of scap strengthening.
  • 1 Infusion. I have one vein that is a CHAMP. Same vein, every week, always delivers.
  • 1 Day of Home Rehab. Walked 4 miles in the hood. Then had a leg day once I got home.
  • 1 Acupuncture appointment. When I went in 2010, I HATED it. Since I have been going in 2018, I LOVE it. Different doctors, different techniques, different atmospheres make a huge difference.
  • Been fighting sickness. Nausea and fatigue. Ninety Five degrees has not helped. Please just get me to the end of the year!
