Five For Friday 4/1/16

What. A. Week. I felt like a hamster on a wheel for most of it. Whew.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of Home Rehab. That is it for the week. Fail.
  • 1 Infusion at Sparrow. So far, so good. It has definitely been worth the three hours of sitting for each one.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. Gentle neck manipulations and a LOT of cardio. I also started on the weight machines this week.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab. I rocked my cardio old school to Bell Biv Devoe. No judging.
  • Sunday, I decided it would be a good idea to run up my parent’s driveway and into their house from my car. However, my body had another idea when I slipped on a patch of ice and landed on my face. Incredibly, I only broke my pinky and scraped my knee. It happened so fast, I have no clue how I managed that, but I all I know is that it could have been MUCH worse.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 2 Days of Home Rehab.
  • I had my monthly appointment with Larry. I went in to my appointment in tears. I knew I had to get through parent-teacher conferences and I was feeling a mix of sickness and pain. I believe my words to Larry were, “Whatever magic you can do, please do it on me today.”And he did. Between stomach acupuncture, cranial OMM, and putting my ribs back in place, I was in much better shape leaving his office than coming.  Thankful.
  • A lot of neck and head pain this week. I had to wear my neck collar to get through my  home rehab work, but the important thing is I did it.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. I am loving when my PT does manipulations on my back and neck with Biofreeze. It’s one of those little touches that helps with management.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab. Treadmill, balance, and floor strengthening.
  • No doctors.
