Five For Friday 1/17/20, 1/24/20, 1/31/20, & 2/7/20

Written by Katie. Posted in Five For Friday

Four missed Fridays. I don’t even know where to start.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • PT. 4 sessions. All paid out of pocket. Because, yes, I am still fighting, and yes, my case is still under review.
  • Working my way through Morning Meltdown workouts. Almost finished with phase 1, which means I have about 80 workouts left.
  • Two infusions.
  • One shrink appointment.
  • I decided to get back into acupuncture. I’ve had three sessions so far and I LOVE IT…more-so than I did before. Puts me to sleep every time.
  • Three lab draws.

Five For Friday 7/12/19 & 7/19/19

1. Medical Stuff:

  • Three PT’s: Elliptical, bike, scap strengthening, core strengthening, heat, stim, OMT, and dry needling. STILL hip pain. Gah. I’m thinking I need to tackle the core more so that’s the goal for the next appointment.
  • Home Rehab: Walks outside at an incline. Weights and squats. Core and scaps. Light Stretching!

1. Medical Stuff:

  • Prolo on Monday. Dr. C thinks things got stretched out from labor, and I have since sprained my hip and both SI joints. Prolo in the hip capsule, both SI joints, and groin.
  • 1 Day of PT. OMT only since it was the day after prolotherapy and I felt it was best to give it a chance to work.
  • Lots of time on my trusty heating pad this week.
  • 1 shrink visit. Starting to taper one of my meds. Fingers crossed.
  • 1 Infusion. Had to wait to start while they called my docs since my blood pressure was too low. They determined I was okay enough to do the infusion and thankfully did not have to go anywhere.

Five For Friday 8/23/18

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. Elliptical, scap training, heat, and OMM.
  • 1 Day of Home Rehab. 3 Miles, strengthening exercises.
  • I saw the dermatologist. The saga of my cyst continues…I will be getting it cut out once and for all in September. The doctor said it will be painful that night, but I should be okay after that. Stitches for 10 days after. The rest of my skin looked good. No worrisome spots!
  • We had our anatomy ultrasound! It went really well. When it was time to scan under the belly button they had us look away. SOOOO, someone out there knows what we are having…but we have to wait 20ish more weeks.
