Five For Friday 10/19/18

1. Medical Stuff:

  • PT on Thursday. So happy my OB said I can do electrical stim again. It helps calm down my first ribs that will not cooperate right now.
  • I saw my shrink on Tuesday. I made him prove that we met for an hour. It felt like 2 minutes.
  • Allie moved home last weekend and started her new job with long hours, so I’ve been walking Gru Gru each day. If only I had been doing this from the beginning of my pregnancy…it forces me to get my body moving.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • Tuesday PT. It’s getting harder. One foot in front of the other. Had 20 mins of wonderful heat and stim on my neck.
  • 1 Day of Home Rehab. 3 miles and light strengthening. Hoping I can do this until January…
  • One more Lovenox shot and I am done for the rest of this pregnancy. I always freak out when I go off a med that the baby has been used to since the beginning. Praying.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. Elliptical, scap training, heat, and OMM.
  • 1 Day of Home Rehab. 3 Miles, strengthening exercises.
  • I saw the dermatologist. The saga of my cyst continues…I will be getting it cut out once and for all in September. The doctor said it will be painful that night, but I should be okay after that. Stitches for 10 days after. The rest of my skin looked good. No worrisome spots!
  • We had our anatomy ultrasound! It went really well. When it was time to scan under the belly button they had us look away. SOOOO, someone out there knows what we are having…but we have to wait 20ish more weeks.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • Now that the cat is out of the bag, I can actually talk about ultrasounds! Because I am high risk in four areas, I get to see the babe often…I guess that is a plus of being a GERIATRIC pregnant woman…;) Monday, I had an US and baby was not having it. It was in the same mood I wanted to feel…curled up in a ball, sleeping, with an arm over the head so it didn’t have to acknowledge the “paparazzi.” Everything looked and measured good! I am getting to the halfway point!
  • I had to go to my PCP to get my annual accommodation letter for my school district. Easy peasy.
  • I am being referred to a dermatologist because I have a cyst that won’t leave. My PCP has tried twice to remove it and it keeps returning, so now it is time for the big guns. Fun. Times.

Oh, summer you are going far too fast…

1. Medical Stuff:

  • Last infusion! (I don’t mean my hydration ones…I’m a lifer for those).
  • PT. Changed it up. Elliptical instead of treadmill. Neck manipulation instead of rib manipulation.
  • Acupuncture.
  • OMM appointment. It had been since February. That’s pretty encouraging, but I needed to get back.
