Five For Friday 8/31/18

Last day of August! Is it me or does it feel like August was 67 days long?!

Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. They worked me so HARD. I finally had to speak up and say enough because I knew I still needed to drive home. That does not happen very often.
  • Sucked at home rehab this week. I slept through my usual times most days. Such a tired week.
  • Sunday, I was in urgent care with most of Lansing. Had a pedicure Saturday…woke up to the start of an infected toe on Sunday. Sooo, off I went. I was given topical antibiotic cream since pregnancy frowns on most antibiotics and the ones I could take, I am allergic to. I am happy to report that it is WAY better now, thank goodness.

Five For Friday 6/8/18

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Infusion.
  • 1 acupuncture session. Slept so hard my doc had to shake me.
  • LOTS of great, LONG naps. Like long as in accidentally slept through dinner twice.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab. No PT.
  • Now, that it’s summer, it is time to kick my exercise into a much higher gear. I’ve been pretty lazy lately and I feel it.

Five For Friday 3/30/18

1. Medical Stuff:

  • One day of PT. Light walking and bike. Circuit training and OMM.
  • 3 Days of walking the neighborhood with my sisters’s dog, Gru. Floor strengthening and light weights exercises after each walk. A good change up from my usual home rehab.
  • I had a cyst (I’ve had for about five months) removed from the top of my head on Thursday. Always something…Two stitches, some soreness, but my head is flat again ; ) I sure know how to kick off spring break off right! Stitches out on Monday!
  • Insomnia and weird dreams galore. Sigh.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT with a substitute therapist. He was awesome and brought a different perspective to my management. We worked a lot on proper breathing techniques.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab. Treadmill. Bike. Scaps. Legs. Biceps.
  • I am sleeping like crap. I hate these sleep strikes, but if I have learned anything, I know they do not last forever.

Holy Cow, it’s September. So long, summer. I love you.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 2 Days of Home Rehab. No PT this week.
  • First week back to school. Hence, not a lot of sleep. It was a tired one.
  • I have learned the last few years that it is best to clear my schedule the first few weeks I’m back to school in order to function and adjust…as long as I still get some workouts in on my own.
